What do I need to bring to a session?

For our sessions all you will need to have is a yoga mat. I strongly recommend having some water on hand and a journal for taking notes and reflection. If you are looking to purchase props, take a look at my post with some recommendations.

Where do we have the sessions?

The choice is yours. Our sessions can happen in the comfort of your home or in my home studio. Whichever is most convenient for you and suitable for your practice.

Can I invite my friends?

Absolutely! The price is $15 for each additional person. Please indicate the number of people during booking

What can I expect in my session?

Your session will be customized to suit the intention of your practice, level of experience and physical requirements. We can focus on breath-work, meditation and a tailored yoga sequence. I will provide focused attention to you and provide adjustments and modifications based on your needs.

What style of yoga do you teach?

I specialize in introducing yoga to absolute beginners and I lead flow/vinyasa practices. I also offer slow and restorative classes. If you are unsure of what style and length of session would be suitable for you or your group I will be able to make recommendations after a brief consultation.

Okay, but what if I’m not flexible?

At Yoga with Addy, I provide a safe space for all body types, experience levels, backgrounds and lifestyles. Yoga is not practiced because we are flexible, yoga is a tool we can use to gain flexibility. I will provide props and pose modifications to accommodate a healthy and safe practice. Your comfort is my #1 priority. We will discuss any health issues that may benefit from yoga practice and any physical limitations or injuries that must be taken into account.

Why do I need private yoga sessions?

Unlike large group classes and virtual training videos, private sessions will provide you with focused guidance and direction in order for you to optimize your practice. With a quiet, one-on-one session, it helps to alleviate the anxiety of exploring your body and movement in a room full of strangers. Private yoga is great for beginners to gain spacial awareness and confidence in their ability to explore, be free and have fun with this ancient meditative practice.
